The Pastorale, composed in 1907 for Voice and Piano, was dedicated to M-lle Nadiejda Rimsky-Korsakov. Stravinsky was the pianist at the first performance in 1908 in St. Petersburg, Russia. This brief vocalise in the original key of F sharp major was first published in 1910.
