Pierne Piece in G Minor for Double Bass & Piano

Henri Constant Gabriel Pieme (1863-1937), French composer and conductor, was a talented student in piano, organ and composition. He won a first prize in piano in 1879 at the Paris Conservatory. Pieme, a student of Cesar Franck, won a first prize in organ in 1882. During the same year he distinguished himself by winning a Prix de Rome in composition. He was a composition student ofJules Massenet.
