Handel Concerto in G Minor, Double Bass & Piano

George Frideric Handel (1685-1759) was born in Halle, Germany. He visited England in 1710 and became a naturalized citizen in 1726. He was most noted for his “Italian operas” and "English biblical oratorios". In addition, he composed much instrumental music for large and small ensembles.

This transcription of the Concerto in G Minor is based mainly upon the Urtext Edition for oboe. However, reference was made to an earlier double bass transcription of the work by Franz Simandl (1840-1912).
