Four master Russian composers are represented in these transcriptions for double bass. The Grechaninov, Mussorgsky, and Borodin are from the Album of 10 Russian Songs. The Rimsky- Korsakov, composed in 1867, is from A Century of Russian Song by Kurt Schindler. The poets, editors, and translators are credited in the original vocal/piano scores.
