Elgar Salut d'Amour, Op. 12. Edited for Double Bass and Piano by Lucas Drew. (Orchestra Tuning).
From the Publisher
Elgar's Salut d'Amour (Liebesgruss) Opus 12 was written for a small orchestra (originally in E Major) in 1888. It is dedicated to his wife, Carice (Caroline Alice), a lady of musical and literary skill, whom he married in 1889. Elgar sold Salut d'Amour for perhaps five English pounds to his publisher. It became a best-selling salon piece. The first performance took place at London's Crystal Palace, November 11,1889. It has been arranged in many forms - violin and piano, cello and piano, voice and piano, mandolin and piano, etc.
