Dvorak Indian Lament. Second Movement of the Sonatina in G Major, Op. 100. Transcribed for Double Bass (Orchestra Tuning) and Piano by Lucas Drew.
From the Publisher
The joyous and melodic Sonatina in G Major was written for violin and piano in America in 1893. Dvorak (1841-1904) composed the work for two of his children, ac cording to Arthur Cohn in his “The Literature of Chamber Music,” as a sort of celebration on his reaching Opus 100. The second movement, the so-called “Indian Lament,” was a favorite encore piece of Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962) in his edited version.
